Craig’s career has focused on helping companies develop and implement a better, scalable, sustainable way to work. His innovation, passion, diligence and leadership of Operations has led those he’s worked with to increased customer satisfaction, growth in revenues and shareholder value, improved margins, and greatly improved engagement and experience for employees.

Prior to founding Strategic Productivity, Craig worked as a senior executive, consultant and business advisor. As COO of Purple, a multi-channel comfort technology retailer, he led strategy and execution of previously non-existent product designs, operating processes, global supply chain, manufacturing, customer experience, metrics, and systems enabling a $1B valuation within months of launch.

 

As Exec VP Operations at cloud QMS software leader MasterControl, Craig led global operations to 3X growth while doubling productivity. Craig also served in other roles including CEO, operational excellence/lean/six sigma, software development, product design, data/analytics, services, medical devices and pharma, aerospace, electronics, and general management. Craig has international operational experience in the South Pacific, Asia, and Europe.

 

Craig loves learning and teaching. He has authored multiple best-selling books on Operations and data-driven improvement. He also has taught Operations at the Eccles School of Business at the University of Utah. Hundreds of professionals have benefited from his Operations and problem-solving training, coaching, and mentoring. Craig holds Masters and Bachelors of Science degrees in Mechanical Engineering from Brigham Young University.

 

In his spare time, Craig enjoys keeping up with his active family—rock climbing, alpine touring/backcountry skiing, mountain biking, sailing, and community and church service.
